Another month is coming, and it means we can look forward once again to a new lineup of fresh movie releases. Whether you're into horror, thriller, comedy or drama, there is something in store for you this October.

The following are some titles you may check out on various online streaming services, including Netflix, Amazon, Prime Video, Hulu and Peacock.

First Week

Planning to watch some horror flicks as Halloween nears? You can stream "Mr. Harrigan's Phone" on Netflix starting Oct. 5. It centers on Craig, a young boy who becomes friends with an elderly billionaire. Here's the catch: After the elderly dies, the boy realizes that he can still communicate with his dead friend.

If you want to see another horror movie, then "Hellraiser" has got you covered. Arriving on Hulu on Oct. 7, the film tells the story of a young woman who deals with supernatural forces to find her disappeared brother.

The next one on the list is the thriller movie "Luckiest Girl Alive," which is based on Jessica Knoll's 2015 novel of the same title. You can watch it on Netflix beginning Oct. 7. Its plot revolves around Ani Fanelli, portrayed by Mila Kunis, whose seemingly perfect life begins to crumble as a true-crime documentary forces her to deal with her past.

And if you are in the mood for laughs, you should go ahead and watch "Catherine Called Birdy." It's a comedy adventure helmed by director Lena Dunham, and it is coming on Amazon Prime Video also on Oct. 7. The flick is set in medieval England, where a poor father plans to get his daughter married to a rich man.

Second Week

What if an internet meme suddenly becomes real? You may watch "Grimcutty" on Hulu starting Oct. 10 to find out what can happen if this ever takes place.

Fans of the "Halloween" franchise will have something to rejoice about on Oct. 14 because "Halloween Ends" is finally arriving. The 13th installment of the popular franchise will be available on Peacock.

Viewers may also want to check out "The Curse of Bridge Hollow" on Netflix on the same day, Oct. 14. Helmed by Jeff Wadlow, the movie focuses on a father and his daughter who come together to save their town from a mischievous spirit.

Third Week

Fans of movies like "Harry Potter" are in for a treat because a new teen fantasy movie is coming on Netflix on Oct. 19. It's called "The School for Good and Evil," and it tells the story of besties Agatha and Sophie, who get into an enchanted school and end up on the opposing sides of a battle.

Fourth Week

The fourth week of October is also packed with exciting movie releases. One of them is "The Good Nurse," which is streaming on Netflix beginning Oct. 26. It features Jessica Chastain, who plays Amy Amy Loughren, a nurse who gets the shock of her life when her colleague Charlie Cullen, portrayed by Eddie Redmayne, is linked to the murder of dozens of patients in various hospitals over a 16-year period.

There is also "Run Sweetheart Run," which is helmed by director Shana Feste. It stars Ella Balinska, who plays the role of Cherie, a single mom who has to fight for her life after her blind date takes a violent turn. The movie will be on Amazon Prime Video starting Oct. 28.
