A National Guard officer who has been convicted for "motorboating" his subordinate soldier has retired with full benefits, reports said.

Capt. Billy Crosby, from Louisiana, a logistics officer with the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team deployed in Jordan was sentenced to the brig for 30 days after he was convicted of motorboating a female soldier during an informal promotion ceremony in May 2021; an act during which Crosby placed his face between the junior solider’s breasts while moving his face from side to side, NY Post reported.

Crosby was initially charged with conduct unbecoming of an officer and abusive sexual contact. However, he pleaded guilty to lesser charges of assault consummated by battery and conduct unbecoming.

After completing his sentence and returning home, Crosby who participated in the 1989 invasion of Panama, retired on March 31 with full benefits, Military.com reported.

The judge who sentenced Crosby ordered him not to be dismissed from the service and not to pay any fines or forfeit his pay. Crosby was also not asked to register as a sex offender since his charges were downgraded according to his plea agreement.

"I was accused of a lot more than I have done, and I pled guilty to what I did," Crosby reportedly told Stars and Stripes during his retirement.

Investigators determined that Crosby had told the unidentified junior soldier that he planned to "motorboat" her at her promotion ceremony to be a sergeant. When the female soldier declined the promotion ceremony, Crosby entered her room and performed his version of the promotion ceremony, during which he told her to stand up "placed the rank in front of her chest and leaned in to grab the rank with his teeth."

"He vigorously moved his head from side to side between [the junior soldier’s] breasts while still holding the rank with his teeth," court documents revealed.

Crosby also harassed the sergeant on a previous occasion by asking her to ride with him to another post in Jordan because he "liked looking at her breasts," witnesses told the court.
