Meghan Markle may be considering a career change and if the claims of a royal expert are true, we may soon see her dive into politics.

The 40-year-old former actress spoke out against the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade in a recent interview, and it may be an indication of her political ambitions, royal expert Russell Myers said, as per 7 News.

"Meghan has said that she might be in Washington very soon," Myers reportedly said, alluding to a statement Markle made during her Vogue interview alongside feminist icon Gloria Steinem.

"Well, Gloria, it seems as though you and I will be taking a trip to D.C. together soon," the Duchess of Sussex said at the time.

Markle also revealed in the Vogue interview that the ruling enraged Prince Harry, whom she describes as a feminist. "His reaction last week was guttural, like mine," she recalled.

She also emphasized the need for women's rights to be protected, noting that men need to join the feminist fight. "Men need to be vocal at this moment and beyond because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large," she explained.

Markle went on to share she wouldn't miss the opportunity to stand in support of women and tackle women's issues.

"I know that for so many women right now, there is a sentiment of despair," she said, before adding, "But again, we have to band together and not wallow. We have to do the work."

There have been reports that Markle has been collaborating with Democrats to build fundraising and campaign teams for a possible White House run in 2024 if President Biden decides not to run for re-election, New York Post reported.

The royal family has been known for maintaining silence when it comes to political issues. Amid Markle's active participation in political discourse, Queen Elizabeth II was pictured beaming with Prince Charles as they attended a ceremony in Scotland on Thursday.

The queen seemed cheerful as she watched the Royal Company of Archers Reddendo Parade in the gardens of Edinburgh's Palace of Holyroodhouse, which is her official residence in Scotland, according to 7News.
