Reality star and makeup brand owner Kylie Jenner has reached 300 million followers on Instagram, making her the most followed woman in the world on the social media platform.

Jenner, 24, is also the first woman ever to reach such a high number of followers. The only person with more followers is soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo at 388 million.

The official Instagram page has the highest follower count at 460 million.

Pop singer Ariana Grande held the highest number of followers for a woman at 289 million before Jenner took the crown.

Jenner has grown her profile as a media personality, socialite, model, and businesswoman. She is most recognized for her role on the reality television series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" and is the founder and owner of her cosmetic company Kylie Cosmetics.

She grew her Instagram following despite keeping a lower profile while in her second pregnancy. She also was able to grow her followers count despite the Astroworld Festival controversy involving her boyfriend rapper Travis Scott.

Jenner recently took Instagram to explain how events that happened in 2021 had made significant changes to her life.

“As 2022 is approaching I’ve been reflecting on this last year and the blessings that it brought but also the many heartaches it held. I will never forget this year and all the significant changes it made to my life. I pray this new year is filled with a lot of love for all of you and I hope everyone stays safe and healthy during this time,” Jenner wrote in a post.
