  • BTS member Suga released the first episode of his YouTube talk show "SuChwiTa" Monday
  • The first episode featured BTS leader RM as his guest
  • RM and Suga talked about the former's recently released solo debut album, "Indigo"

BTS member Suga's YouTube talk show "SuChwiTa" premiered Monday, and the first episode featured a very special guest.

Last week, a teaser announcing the launch of Suga's talk show was unveiled on BTS' official YouTube channel BangtanTV. Its title, "SuChwiTa," is a spin on the 29-year-old rapper's stage name and his 2020 mixtape track "Daechwita," as well as a shortened form for the phrase "time to drink with Suga" in Korean, according to NME.

RM, 28, who dropped his first full-length solo album "Indigo" over the weekend, reunited with Suga for a drink on the first episode of the talk show.

The two BTS members caught up with each other and talked about RM's new album, which exceeded half a million album sales in a span of 24 hours, AllKpop reported, citing the South Korean music chart Hanteo.

In the episode, RM brought two types of drinks, a traditional South Korean drink and his favorite whiskey. He revealed that he "got into" whiskey because of Suga and shared that it was the first time they drank alone without the other BTS members, Jungkook, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope and V.

After ordering some food, the pair proceeded to talk about "Indigo," which at the time of filming the episode had not yet been released.

RM excitedly shared that it was his first solo album, as the members have only released solo music through mixtapes or uploaded them on the music-sharing platform SoundCloud. The BTS leader revealed that the album would feature 10 songs, like J-Hope's debut solo album "Jack In The Box," which was released earlier this year.

Suga congratulated RM for having 200 songs listed in the Korean Music Copyright Association, before asking him how felt about his first solo album release.

"To be honest, I feel a little strange. Basically, what this is, you and I have been in this field for about the same time, considering we started music around the same time. It's been exactly 15 years. And yet, in a sense, this is my first album (as a solo artist)," RM said.

"So, after 15 long years, I finally have a result to prove to myself, in the form of an album," he continued. "To be honest, in my 'Mono' album, I had doubts and concerns for about half of the songs in there, but I don't think that's going to be the case for this album."

RM also revealed that J-Hope was the only member to listen to "Indigo" before it was launched. He explained that before "Jack In The Box" was released, his fellow rapper had asked him to listen to his album.

RM's new album, which features the lead song "Wild Flower," was recognized as the biggest debut for an album by a South Korean solo artist in Spotify Global chart history, according to AllKpop. It has since accumulated over 20.6 million streams on the platform.

"Indigo" dominated iTunes charts after debuting at No. 1 on the platform's Top Albums charts across 67 regions, including France, Germany and Italy. The title track "Wild Flower" debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 87 regions, including the United States and Canada.

The "Wild Flower" music video also reached a milestone after surpassing 8.4 million views on YouTube within 20 hours of its release. It now has 20 million views.
