ONE Championship turned heads in the world of combat sports with its back-to-back fight cards that were highly acclaimed by most fans and pundits to conclude the month of August.

ONE 160 saw Christian Lee regain the lightweight title in scintillating fashion against South Korean rival Ok Rae Yoon and Tang Kai make history as the first Chinese male mixed martial artist to ever hold a world championship in a major organization.

On the other hand, Demetrious Johnson avenged his loss to Adriano Moraes in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 1 by knocking out his Brazilian arch-nemesis to finally lay claim to the flyweight throne.

Now, the Singapore-based promotion aims to replicate the same feat and ride the momentum by hosting two separate live events later this month.

Muay Thai and kickboxing fans are in for a treat on September 29 as ONE 161 is penciled to be headlined by a Muay Thai featherweight title duel between reigning titlist Petchmorakot Petchyindee and challenger Tawanchai PK.Saenchai.

In addition, the first round of the four-man ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix will commence on the same card.

Reigning ONE kickboxing light heavyweight champion Roman Kryklia is set to battle Guto Inocente, while Iraj Azizpour locks horns with Bruno Chaves in the other bracket of the tourney.

Most recently, ONE Championship announced the rest of the matches happening at ONE 161 next week.

  • Ritu Phogat vs. Tiffany Teo (MMA – women's atomweight)
  • Yuya Wakamatsu vs. Wang Shuo (MMA – flyweight)
  • Capitan Petchyindee vs. Alaverdi Ramazanov (Muay Thai – bantamweight)

Meanwhile, the outfit returns to Amazon Prime Video on September 30 (United States time), featuring a rubber match for the ONE women's strawweight championship on the marquee.

Emanating from the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the morning of October 1st to be aired via United States primetime on September 30 at 8:00 PM ET, atomweight queen Angela Lee aims to become a two-division world champion by going up against Xiong Jing Nan for the third time at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Furthermore, Mikey Musumeci and Cleber Sousa are slated to go head-to-head for the inaugural ONE flyweight submission grappling championship.

However, ONE on Prime Video 2 underwent certain bout changes after initially releasing its full list of fights.

Several reports a few days ago circulated that Superbon Singha Mawyn would be getting a new opponent for his defense of the featherweight kickboxing belt at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Superbon was originally booked to take on Grand Prix winner Chingiz Allazov, but the latter had to pull out of the scheduled championship clash due to an undisclosed injury.

Filling in for Allazov to face Superbon is Tayfun Ozcan, who was supposed to duke it out with Marat Grigorian in a three-round kickboxing joust.

As a result, Grigorian is now assigned to test the mettle of the hot-streaking Jamal Yusupov under kickboxing rules at ONE on Prime Video 2.

Unfortunately, the featherweight contest between Kim Jae Woong and Shamil Gasanov got booted off the card without any official statement coming from ONE Championship.

But the promotion confirmed two additional bouts for ONE on Prime Video 2.

Rade Opacic is set to slug it out versus Giannis Stoforidis in an alternate tussle of the ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix, while Ryogo Takahashi looks to begin his road to redemption by facing off with Oh Ho Taek.

Fans worldwide will be able to watch ONE 161 at 6:00 PM SGT (6:00 AM ET in the United States) through watch.onefc.com.

For ONE on Prime Video 2, the event will exclusively air on Amazon Prime Video in North America at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on September 30.

Outside of North America, ONE on Prime Video 2 will be available on watch.onefc.com at 8:00 AM SGT on October 1.
